Whispers in the Well is the next chapter of Lorcana

The next chapter of Lorcana has been revealed with Whispers of the Well coming this November. General availability will begin on November 14, but specialist game stores will get the cards a week earlier.
As you might be able to tell from the cards below, there are some familiar faces, but there are two new series getting some attention, The Black Cauldron and Gargoyles. In fact from the preview cards released, we can see Demona has a few looks.
If you are looking at the cards above and thinking that something looks different on Simba, Ariel and Robin Hood, you would be right, these are the new Whisper cards. They are described as cards that have an air of intrigue about them and look as they do, as they were summoned from a damaged lorebook. To Boost a Whisper, players must place cards from their deck beneath the card. However, the question remains as to where exactly these Whispers are coming from, and it’s up to you to solve this mystery.
“It is a real thrill getting to work on a set of cards like Whispers in the Well with so many wonderful Disney glimmers coming to the game. We wanted to evoke the feeling of a detective searching for clues among the Whispers in the deep, and the artwork for the set really brings that to life!”
Gargoyles is one of those standout new additions. Designing a Demona glimmer was an exciting collaboration between the Game Design, Art, and Narrative teams. Ravensburger captured the process of how the Demona – Scourge of the Wyvern Clan card came to be in a short documentary you can view here on YouTube and Instagram.
With the introduction of The Black Cauldron comes glimmers both heroic and terrifying. The titular item makes an appearance, and it is one powerful card indeed. And let’s not forget that all too recognizable and menacing villain, The Horned King. As a Wicked Ruler, he allows players to bring banished glimmers back into play quickly—a helpful use of his dark sorcery.
Looking ahead in the forecast, some winter wonder will soon be blowing into the realm with Winterspell. Fans can look forward to glimmers from Disney Darkwing Duck and Disney Lilo & Stitch: The Series joining in on the snowball fights, snowboarding, and shenanigans. Winterspell is set to release this coming February 13 for specialist stores and February 20 for everyone else.
But that is not all, because in Q2 2026, Wilds Unknown will release and for the first time bring in new characters from outside the Disney Animation bubble, as Pixar characters are coming. Woody and Buzz are confirmed, but more will be announced in time.
