Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage comes to Switch 2 this March

Sega have announced that Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage will finally release onto Nintendo Switch 2 this March 26, after it was announced as coming back in September 2025. Check out the new trailer for the game below.

The Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game includes cross-play support, so you play against players on PC, PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S. The reason why this is possible is because the game does feature full rollback netcode, allowing for the most responsive online play possible.

In addition there are new moves for players to discover, which also means new combos. But there is still more as the game also features new balance updates and improvements to the training mode for players to practice their moves in.

An Open Beta test for the game will take place on February 19, in order to test out the online functions like cross-play. Access is open to all, but you will need to be a Nintendo Switch Online member. The Open Beta test will run until February 24, so there will be time to take a look at the game.

The game is up for pre-order now, with just the base game having a RRP of $27.95, The 30th Anniversary Edition is $69.95 and comes with 100 costumes from the Like A Dragon series and the Virtua Fighter series, along with character customisation items, extra music and more.
