Monster Hunter Wilds is getting ready for its 1st anniversary update
Capcom have announced that Monster Hunter Wilds is getting a big update next week, in celebration of the games 1st anniversary. The update will kick off a return of items from past events, giving hunters a chance to claim any they missed, but also some Monster Hunter Stores 3: Twisted Reflection collaboration items.
The big news however is that an expansion for the game is in development, with the below all we know.
“We are currently at work on a large-scale expansion similar to Monster Hunter World: Iceborne and Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak for Monster Hunter Wilds. We plan to share more information with you this summer, so please look forward to it”
Given both Iceborne and Sunbreak offered a lot of content for its time, I expect this will be much the same, but the details on what we are going to get will come in a few months.
Until then, on February 18 when the update arrives, players will get a lot to do, as you can see by the roadmap below.
The below is the breakdown of what is coming each week, with the big part being the return of a number of previous events. That means if there are outfits or weapons you wanted to get, but missed out before, you have a chance to pick them up again.

Hunters can unlock the winning Original Weapon and Pendant Design Contest designs for the Shatterseal Great Sword submitted by Nolan Lu and the Meatmergency! pendant by ikei after completing the Event Quest, “Every Hunter’s Dream”.
