Monster Hunter Wilds has revealed the content of its fourth title update

Capcom have revealed the details for the next title update for Monster Hunter Wilds, which includes players coming together to fight Gogmazios. Check out the trailer for it below.

The update will release on December 16 and bring with it a massive new monster to hunt, along with the gear you can craft with the mats it will drop, but there is a new event, new photo options and more. But the fun does not stop, as you can see via the roadmap below, that there is another part of the update coming in February with even more content, including a special Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection collab.

The big new monster to hunt this time is the Elder Dragon Gogmazios, which has a Hunter Rank (HR) of 100+, so you had best be ready for a challenge. For this special quest, up to four hunters can join forces with support hunters to form parties of eight! Team up with Nadia and Fabius to take down Gogmazios!

For those players who complete the Gogmazios Extra Mission, they will unlock a permanent event quest for repeated play.

Of course, with a new monster comes new armours to craft and there are some blue options for you this time.

You can upgrade Rarity 8 Artian Weapons into Gogma Artian Weapons using materials obtained from Gogmazios. Gogma Artian Weapons come with one randomly chosen bonus skill and one randomly chosen group skill, adding extra customization possibilities. Gogma Reinforce also lets you keep existing reinforcement bonuses or—if you prefer a fresh start—completely reset the weapon’s skills. The Reset Skills option uses Gogma materials to re-roll the bonus skill and group skill applied to the weapon.

Note: Upgraded weapons will retain their existing reinforcement bonuses.

There is also a new thing called ‘Armor Transcendence’, their spelling not mine. Transcendence lets hunters at HR 100+ push their armor upgrades even further. Transcending raises the caps that normally restrict Armour Sphere enhancements and also enhances the effectiveness of decoration slots on rarity 5 and 6 armour.

For the rest of the updates, including what new paid options are being added, check out the games official site.

The team have also advised that they have gotten all the feedback from players about performance and are working on it, and while they said they had an update, they forgot to actually provide the link.
