Maxi-Geek's Best Of 2020 - Mobile

2020 has been quite the year, but in the world of gaming, apart from some delays, it really just moved along like normal. Well, as normal as it can be in the midst of a global pandemic, with that said, there were countless amazing games across the various platforms and even some good movies to enjoy.

This time we are talking mobile gaming, you know games played on those things in your pocket, that also let you view countless cat videos.

What happens when a bunch of oddball kids, all end up in an abandoned underwater amusement park and told by a creepy clown that if they want to win, they have to sacrifice others?

That is the basic premise of World’s End Club, but the game is more than just that, as players can explore some of Japan’s most popular locations, all while discovering new powers and of course trying to survive. The game has some strong talent behind it, so it might feel familiar, but it is not like you might expect it to be.

On a bonus, the game is included in Apple Arcade, so if you have that, you can enjoy it there.

Ah League of Legends, one of gaming’s biggest series, but Wild Rift is bringing the series to mobile, but is that enough?

The answer is yes, apart from it being on mobile, the game is offering up the same classic 5v5 gameplay, just now on mobile. Matches last around 15 to 20 minutes, making them perfect for the bite sized gameplay that mobile is perfect for and of course, those iconic LoL characters are also here.

The only real catch is that the game is still in development, though it is very playable, just not final.

Perhaps one of the most simplistic games in any of our lists, Golf of Mars does exactly what the title states and that is about it.

This is what we call a rarity in gaming, the game does not have a major point, it just lets you play and enjoy it, there are no bosses to fight, no pages of lore to discover, you just golf. Each session can be as little as a single hole or as long as a few dozen, there is no limit and with simple controls, it is very easy to understand.

The question we have, do we have to yell four or four billion miles?
