Starlight GameChangers is back to raise money for sick kids once again

This month the Starlight GameChangers is taking place again, an initiative of the Starlight Children’s Foundation, which aims to raise money, in the hopes of raising money to help out kids across the nation.

Last year the event was hoping to raise $250,000 and it blew past that, raising more than $300,000, so this year the goal is a lofty $350,000, but as we are only days into the event and they have already hit ~10% of the goal, that is looking good.

Streamers from across the nation are taking part, last year saw streamers like Pestily, whose community contributed close to $114,000, whilst JuicdEnergy and DreadedGM raised over $40,000 and $20,000 from their communities respectively.

“Starlight GameChangers is a great opportunity to help out seriously ill children throughout Australia. You can make a massive difference and it's a really fun thing to be part of. Not only was I able to brighten the lives of sick kids, my participation also opened up a lot of doors for me as a content creator. I encourage all streamers to jump on board and support Starlight,” shared Pestily who has over 1.2 million followers on Twitch.

There is a full list of streamers taking part this year on the Game Changers site, some of the ones committed are ZoeTwoDots, Liltrouble__, camomo_10, KoalaTeaGaming, and RubeePlays.

“When a child is diagnosed with serious illness, their ability to be happy is seriously impaired. Starlight exists to brighten the lives of seriously ill children and their families, bringing fun, joy, laughter and hope when they need it most,” Starlight CEO Louise Baxter said. “GameChangers is a wonderful way for people to get involved and help Starlight do what we do best. It is a community of passionate people who like to have fun… and deliver fun to those who need it. So please, help us spread the word so Starlight can change the lives of sick kids around Australia.”

If you want to help raise money, you can sign up to be a streamer still and if you don’t, you can donate at anytime, either through a streamer or directly through the GameChangers site.
