Red Dead Redemption is coming to more platforms this December

Rockstar have announced that Grand Theft Auto I mean Red Dead Redemption is coming to more platforms this December, when the game comes to Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, along with mobile devices via the iOS and Google Play stores and Netflix Games. Check out the trailer for the release below.

For some folks, the news of the game coming to mobile will be the big thing. It will be available to buy on iOS and Google Play stores, but it will also be available via Netflix Games for all members. Below are some screens from the mobile version of the game.

And now some screens for the tablet version.

But what about consoles I hear you ask, well for existing owners, there are free upgrades. So if you own the game on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch or a digital copy on Xbox, you can upgrade to the PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 or Xbox Series X|S version for free.

The game now supports 60fps on all consoles, along with HD support and confirmed 4K on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Nintendo Switch 2 owners are advised they get a high resolution, but no actual specification as to what it is, but mouse controls are confirmed for that release. Nintendo Switch 2 owners also get DLSS enabled on their release, meaning the game should look pretty amazing.

Both Nintendo Switch and PlayStation owners can also keep their save files, so if you do upgrade, you don’t need to start again, which is going to be welcome news for many.

All these versions of the game will release on December 2nd.
