Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble is coming to mobile

After closing down to mobile focused developers within the past 12 months, PlayStation have teamed up with another mobile developer to make a multiplayer, mobile game. But this time it includes some known characters. Check out the reveal trailer below for Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble.

Details on the game are exceedingly light, but we know that the game is an arena shooter, that takes advantage of the unique weapons known to the Ratchet & Clank series.

A number of known characters will appear in the game, but based on the trailer, it also looks like you can create your own, or at least play as new characters. The game will be a real-time multiplayer title, but that is all we know.

Given PlayStation’s shuttering of mobile focused developers and their shuttering of a multiplayer only game, that already released, and their comments about how Bungie did not work out for them, like they hoped, this seems really weird. The developer is external to the PlayStation group and given the track record of PlayStation in that space, I hope they remain that way.

There is no release date for the game, but you can pre-register on the website. When it releases it will come to iOS and Android.
