Putt your money where you mouth is as the Course Designer is back in PGA Tour 2K23
2K have announced that when PGA Tour 2K23 swings to release next month, fans of 2K21 and the previous golf titles from developer HB Studios, will be happy to know that the Course Designer is back and more refined than ever before.
The game will come with 20 fully licenced courses from the real world, but if you think you can make something better, you can use this to do so, with players in 2K21 creating some 300,000 courses previously. While you can make your own, the game will actually come with a selection of community designed courses, these include:
ArcticFury – Craggy Heights, Sherwood Shores and the Training Facility;
b101design - Lachlan Crossing and Emery Beach Club;
Crazycanuck1985 - Old Marina Golf Club and Echo Park Golf Club;
Energ1ser - Lone Grove Golf Course and Jacobson Homestead;
Mattf27 - Foxholm Golf Links and Chestnut Hollow;
VctryLnSprts - PotHole Lake Golf Club and HuckleBerry Country Club.
Those 300,00 courses from 2K21 will be playable in 2K23, if the creators import them from the old game to the new and then republish them, ensuring that any issues are corrected.
In addition to the return of Course Designer, casual multiplayer mode Divot Derby and three-hole matchmaking return to keep entire crews of players competitive with their friends and other players across the globe. Divot Derby pits up to 20 players against one another in a race to the tee. The first golfer to make it to the ninth and final hole wins! Players who get knocked out early can watch the rest of the competition in Spectator Mode.
Three-hole matchmaking is an online multiplayer mode designed to offer new ways to play, with shorter play times and dialled up intensity. Both modes encourage players of all skill levels to jump in and knock out a quick game or two when they don’t have time for a full 18 holes.
The game is coming on October 14th to Xbox, PC and PlayStation, with the Digital Deluxe and Tiger Woods editions granting access three days earlier.
