Pokémon Pokopia brings the slow life to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026

During the recent Nintendo Direct, one of the more unique games that was revealed was Pokemon Pokopia, which is a slow life game where you are a Ditto, which takes a human form and helps other Pokemon find new places to live.
There is no way around it but the game is basically Dragon Quest Builders, but with Pokémon. The second game in the Builders series was developed by Koei Tecmo, who are also doing this game. Plus many of the shapes of terrain, water and other elements look almost the same as they do in Dragon Quest Builders 2.
This is not a knock on the game, I absolutely adored both the first game and the second, so if that team are getting a chance to make a third, albeit with Pokémon instead of Dragon Quest, I am all for it.
Playing as a Ditto that has transformed to look like a human, you can collect wood, rocks, and other crafting materials to create a cosy home. Ditto can learn moves from other Pokémon and utilize those moves to help build your very own Pokémon paradise. For example, Ditto can use Bulbasaur’s Leafage to add greenery to the landscape or Squirtle’s Water Gun to hydrate plants. By creating a lush, welcoming environment, more Pokémon will visit.
The game will release sometime in Autumn next year for Nintendo Switch 2, an exact date is not yet known.
