Dynasty Warriors: Origins is coming to Switch 2 in 2026
In the recent Nintendo Direct, it was revealed that Dynasty Warriors: Origins was coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and would do so on January 22nd, 2026. That is 12 months after the game first released elsewhere and will come with the DLC that is coming to the game, which launches on the other platforms the same day. Origins is a new and deeper interpretation of the traditional Three Kingdoms narrative, in which players take on the role of a nameless hero as they attempt to restore peace on the most realistic battlefields with the largest number of on-screen soldiers in the history of the Dynasty Warriors series.
Details for the DLC have not been announced, all that Koei Tecmo have said for now is “a large amount of DLC will be released”, so take from that what you will.
The game is out now for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with Nintendo Switch 2 to get the game on January 22, 2026.
