Dead or Alive 6: Last Round has been announced and is coming this June
Koei Tecmo have announced that Dead or Alive 6 is coming back around for another round, well the Last Round as it were, taking advantage of the updates in gaming hardware to deliver the definitive version of the fighter. Check out the reveal trailer below.
First released back in 2019, the game did well enough and saw a number of DLC characters added to the game over the months that followed. Now Last Round will include those original 24 characters and 5 of the DLC characters in the game from the outset, the characters in question are Nyotengu, Phase 4, Momiji, Rachel, and Tamaki.
In addition to the roster, a number of popular characters will see additional costumes added to the game, inspired by titles like Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor’s Edge and the one most people won’t have played Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation. Kasumi and Marie Rose are the two characters announced to be getting the outfits, but who knows if more will be added.
Speaking of added, the game is also getting a photo mode and instead of it just being a way to snap a shot of some amazing move you have performed, players will be able to alter the position and pose of the characters, letting you recreate those iconic moments, or just create all new ones.
If that was not enough news, the free-to-play version of the game will also release at the same time, Marie Rose, Honoka, and NiCO will be available for use from launch. Photo Mode and online modes “DOA Quest” and “DOA Central” will also be playable. The story mode is the only exclusion from this version of the game.
The game, both the paid and free-to-play versions, will release on June 25th for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
