Crack that whip once more as Castlevania: Belmont's Curse has been announced
Konami have announced Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, a game being created by Evil Empire and Motion Twin, best known for their work on a title called Dead Cells. Check out the reveal trailer for this all-new game below.
In this latest game in a series that is celebrating 40 years this year, players will take up the whip if Trevor Belmont and the whip won’t just be for decoration. Using the whip, Trevor will be able to swing herself around the world, including using it to pull herself into enemies to get in their face to fight them.
It would not be a Castlevania game if there were no other weapons, which is why there is, so far a sword and the cross have been confirmed for players to use, in conjunction with the whip.
As this is a game that makes up one half of the MetroidVania genre, there are secrets hidden all around the place, with traps and puzzles to also test your brains, not just your reflexes.
The game is coming later this year to Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
