Control Resonant has been announced and is coming next year
Remedy Entertainment were on hand at The Game Awards 2025 to announce new FBC content and no, not FBC Firebreak, but rather Control Resonant. This is a brand new game and is the sequel to the original control, but this time you will be Dylan Faden, someone who was kept in confinement at the FBC, until your skills were needed. In this new game, players will explore multiple areas of Manhattan in an expansive, unfamiliar world as an invading cosmic force reshapes the environment, defiles natural law, and distorts gravity, reordering reality into a shifting geophysical nightmare. Players will traverse perception-bending locations, from collapsing skyscrapers to warped subway tunnels, and journey beyond the material world into a mysterious metaphysical space that mirrors Dylan Faden’s troubled psyche.

You don’t have to know the first game to jump into the sequel, we’ve made this one easy to pick up and hard to put down. It’s ambitious, a little wild, and we can’t wait for players to get lost in it.”
Tap into a volatile power Dylan must learn to master, making consequential choices that shape abilities which manifest, evolve, and branch as you progress through a deep, layered progression system. Face ever-changing threats head-on, utilizing the altered environment, unleashing elemental abilities, and wielding the raw force of Dylan’s shapeshifting melee weapon, the Aberrant, to adapt and survive.
Annapurna Pictures are co-financing and co-producing the game as part of a strategic partnership with Remedy Entertainment. This partnership was announced a while ago, but this is the first game to be revealed from it.
The game is coming in 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
