Civilization VI is getting a new content pass and it is big

Overnight, 2K announced that Civilization VI, on all platforms, PC, Switch, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, would be getting a new premium content pass, that will bringing content to players for 12 months, letting them enjoy the game in new ways for an entire year.

From May 22nd, when the first content drops, until March 2021, there will be six packs, bringing new civilizations, buildings, game modes or other content, it will vary from release to release. Given what is planned, Firaxis did release a list of what players can expect, check it out below:

PACK 1: MAYA & GRAN COLOMBIA PACK

Available May 2020

Adds two new civilizations and leaders, one new game mode*, new City-States, Resources, and Natural Wonders.

PACK 2: ETHIOPIA PACK

Available July 2020

Adds one new civilization and leader, one new game mode**, one new District and two new Buildings.

PACK 3

Available September 2020

Adds two new civilizations and leaders, one new game mode**, new World Wonders, and one new map.

PACK 4

Available November 2020

Adds one new civilization and leader, one new game mode, new City-States, and numerous new Great People.

PACK 5

Available January 2021

Adds one new civilization and two new leaders***, one new game mode, a new District, and two new Buildings.

PACK 6

Available March 2021

Adds one new civilization and leader, one new game mode, new World Wonders, and one new map.

The stars next to some of the options are there, because you will need the expansions to enjoy the content. If you buy the pass, when the second pack is released, you will also get an exclusive content pack in Teddy Roosevelt and Catherine De Medici Persona Packs. Each Persona Pack contains a brand new take on a favorite leader, with a new leader model and background, new gameplay bonuses, and an updated agenda that reflect the changes to the leader’s personality.
