007 First Light is the full name for IO Interactive's James Bond game

A little over 4.5 years ago, IO Interactive announced that they were making a James Bond game, and then the game basically went radio silent, though we did learn a little a few months later. That last update was in April 2021 and the next time we heard about the game was in April 2025 when Christian Elverdam, the CCO of IO Interactive revealed it would be coming to Nintendo Switch 2, you can see that message below.

What was most annoying about that news, was that the trailer was the same one that was shown off back in November 2020 when the game was first announced, but thankfully that has changed.

The studio has revealed that the games full title will be 007 First Light, which lines up with it being an origin story for the character. We also learnt that a special IO Interactive Showcase would be taking place this weekend. In this showcase, we will get our first look at the game. The amount of game revealed is not known, but it would at least need to be a trailer.

Whenever the game releases the only confirmed platform is Nintendo Switch 2, but if it does not come to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, I would be very surprised.
