Get Ready To Go Shred Again Guitar Hero Returns

Activision have announced that Guitar Hero is making the ultimate rock come back with the upcoming release of Guitar Hero Live and like all good comebacks, it has some new tricks to show off.

The game is due out later this year and comes with an all new guitar and an all new point of view, no longer will you be watching yourself play, or at least your avatar, you will be the guitarist, your view will look out over the crowd.

The music will also change depending on where your guitarist is located, stand closer to the drums and it will show more. But its not just the view point that is different, the guitar itself has changed, quite a lot it seems.

It is a little hard to tell in that image of the guitar controller above, but towards the end of the neck are six buttons, three white and three black, you simply need to hit the right one for the right note and bam your in business. What does suck though, is that with this new style, the old contollers that most people will have held onto wont work, along side that news is the one that none of your stored DLC will work with the new game either.

But that is ok, because the team at Free Style Games have done something pretty amazing, GHTV. What is it you might be asking, well it is "A 24hour playable music video network lets fans play along to a continually-updated collection of official videos, from the newest releases to favorite hits. GHTV also lets players compete with their friends as well as players from across the globe to battle for the highest score on any given song. " If the press release is to be believed, that is pretty cool.

It is too early to tell if this new Guitar Hero will pay off for Activision, but early indications are that it might, the game is due to release this September on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Wii U, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
