Ys Memoire: Revelations in Celceta comes to Switch in 2026

Marvelous Europe have announced that Ys Memoire: Revelations in Celceta will finally see a release in the West next year, exclusively on Nintendo Switch. This is a slightly updated version of the game that released in 2019 on PlayStation 4 in Japan and was itself a HD version of the PlayStation Vita game from 2012. Check out the new trailer for the game below.
In terms of the timeline, this game takes place after the events of Ys X, which is getting a PC and Switch 2 release next year, and will see Adol find himself in a new location. Of course, this game was first released years ago and would be the foundation for Ys VIII and the sequels, in terms of the gameplay, world and story progression. That means this is where the series now standard strategic party battles came in, which should challenge players to change their tactics on the fly, and allies can pick up new abilities in the midst of battle that can help them gain the advantage against powerful enemies.
As with all Ys games, Adol is the main protagonist, but he will interact with a host of new characters, some of them you can see art for below.
The game will be familiar, but if you have never played any version of the game before, that means you get to enjoy the new world to explore, because Celceta is a vast and mysterious land, filled with interesting people and thrilling adventures. Players can take advantage of a robust mapping system as they discover all the challenges and rewards that await.
If that was not enough, the games sweeping score guiding Adol’s journey through Celceta returns, along with a newly recorded, re-interpreted version, allowing players to choose their own auditory adventure.
There is no release date for the game yet, outside of early 2026, but we should get one soon.
