World of Warcraft: Midnight is coming to Gamescom

Blizzard have announced that on August 20, fans of World of Warcraft will get their first look at the games upcoming expansion Midnight, when the game comes to Gamescom.

The game will be in its own booth on the show floor and will be there for 5 days, meaning there will be plenty of time to swing by. Those that do attendee the booth will get to discover a Mythic Dungeon and Arena Showcase, Cosplay Showcase, Developer and Creator Meet and Greets, and much more.

Details on what each item includes have not been revealed at this time, but it is a good sign as this is the first news on Midnight since it was named as the second chapter of the Worldsoul Saga. All we know about the expansion is this:

In World of Warcraft: Midnight, players will return to the elven kingdom of Quel'Thalas and fight back against the forces of the Void that have invaded Azeroth and seek to plunge the world into darkness

There is no release date for the expansion at this time, and while previously Blizzard opted for expansion releases every 2 years, the Worldsoul Saga was meant to be a faster turn around on things.

For now we wait and with Gamescom 2025 now 2 months away, it won’t be a long one at all.
