Wonder Man gets first trailer and premiere date

At New York Comic Con over the weekend, Marvel Studios revealed the first trailer for WonderMan, a story about an actor who tries to land the role of a superhero in a movie, in a world of superheroes. Check it out.
The show will star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Sir Ben Kingsley, the latter reprising his role as Trevor, who we last saw in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. In a departure for Marvel content, it was actually filmed in Los Angeles, instead of Atlanta, which is often used in lieu of the city of angels, or even New York.
Both Abdul-Mateen II and Sir Kingsley did speak with the crowd, about the show and filming in LA.
“As an actor, there’s so much that goes into it. There’s vulnerability, there’s ego, there’s hopes and dreams, there’s ambition, there’s the lonely road. As Simon, I get to walk that fine line and experience all of that. I’m really excited to share Simon’s journey towards achieving his dream.”
“LA is emblematic of people’s dreams in this whole wonderful entertainment industry. So, we were constantly fed by that wonderful working environment. It was a great gift to film it. We were amongst all these iconic echoes of the great Hollywood years, which are still perpetuated now.”
The show was created by Destin Daniel Cretton, who worked with Sir Kingsley on Shang-Chi and is currently directing Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
The show will premiere on Disney+ on January 27 next year, so there is still a few months to go until we get to wonder at WonderMan.
