Turtle Beach has unveiled their first ever officially licensed PlayStation headset

Turtle Beach announced the other day the all-new Atlas 200 headset, the first of their vast headset line to be officially licensed for PlayStation. The headset is available this September 19 and comes in White and Black options.

The Atlas 200 headset for PlayStation consoles comes in black or white, each with blue accents showing the PlayStation logo. It features a closed back ear cup, a pair of 50mm drivers and a weight of 280g.

We’re thrilled to unveil the Atlas 200 as our first officially licensed gaming headset for gamers on PS5 and PS4 consoles. By blending some of the best elements of our fan-favourite Atlas and Recon headsets, we’ve created an exceptionally lightweight and comfortable new model that delivers an immersive audio experience.

The headband is considered a floating type, due to the twin nature, the more rigid top layer and the flexible inner layer, which should allow for extended wear. It will connect to your console via the 3.5mm plug, designed to go into your PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 controller.

There is also a non-PlayStation version on offer, it comes with the same specs and general look, but where the Atlas 200 for PlayStation above has the Blue accents and PlayStation logo, the generic is just grey. It is designed more for PC, as it comes with USB connectivity, but due to the PlayStation version having a 3.5mm connection, it can also be used on computers, other consoles and mobile devices.

Both versions of the Atlas 200 will be available on September 19, check with your preferred retailer if they are stocking them. The RRP for the headset is $99.95
