Three games from Thunderful deliver release dates and new trailers

Thunderful are quickly becoming one very busy publisher, with news from them today that three more games have been given release dates. The genres covered are as varied as you can get, so here we go.

Source of Madness

When: May 11th

Platforms: Switch, PC, PlayStation and Xbox

Source of Madness puts players in the role of an acolyte in an alternate reality controlled by cosmic entities. These worlds warp and distort each day, leaving the Loam Lands unpredictably terraformed and inhabited by grotesque beings of celestial origins. To get to the source of this unknowable evil, your voyage will take you across nine biomes, from the depths of Dungeon of Forgotten Knowledge, the eerie landscape of the Forest of Lies, to the grand non-euclidean citadel R’Lyeh, all the way up to celestial bodies on the rims of the universe.

Gigapocalypse

When: June 9th

Platforms: Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

Inspired by Kaiju monster movies like Godzilla and King Kong, as well as gaming classics like Rampage, Gigapocalypse gives players a roster of monsters, or “Gigas”, to choose from as they reduce cities to rubble to the beat of a pumping heavy metal soundtrack as they create their own monster apocalypse.

With every run you undertake to try and get to each location’s boss, your Giga will become more powerful and earn mutation points. Spend these points to upgrade your Giga with new mutations, skills, skins, and even up to five tiny minion pets who will accompany you on your outings of urban destruction. Take care of your Giga in Tamagotchi-style minigames and decorate your Giga’s home with cool items that will improve your Giga and make them even more menacing.

Swordship

When: September

Platforms: Switch, PC, PlayStation and Xbox

Swordship asks the question: what would a shoot’em up look like if you removed the shooting? The answer is an intense dodging game where placement is everything. As you speed through a post-apocalyptic flooded Earth pursued by hostile forces, you must weave your way between enemies and their attacks, tricking them into taking each other out with slick and skillful movement.
