Those dogs can hunt as Way of the Hunter 2 has been announced
THQ Nordic and developer Nine Rocks Games have been teasing a follow up to Way of the Hunter for a while now, you can read about it here. Now while many were hoping for something brand new, it seems the developers are doing that, but keeping a familiar name as Way of the Hunter 2 has been revealed. Way of the Hunter 2 introduces a loyal hunting companion to aid you on your hunts. Your dog is the perfect tracker, helping you locate animal signs or follow the trails of fleeing animals. Through constant training and exercise, your companion will improve over time, learning to reliably respond to your commands — becoming not only an invaluable tool in the field, but also your trusted adventure buddy.
The first hunting area in Way of the Hunter 2 is the Canadian wilderness, with moose, elk, bears, bison, rabbits, turkeys and many birds. As a new hunter, you help a local warden investigate strange moose behaviour across two scenic zones. An improved bullet camera lets you study each shot and improve. A new Hunting Lodge is your hub to display trophies, buy upgrades and plan trips; each territory has its own lodge to track progress. The game includes gear from over 10 real brands—rifles, tech and clothing—for a realistic hunting feel.
The game is coming to PC via Steam, but there is no date as to when that will actually happen. For now you can wishlist it to stay updated when they have news to share.
