The Rogue Prince of Persia leaps onto Switch and Switch 2 this December

Ubisoft and developer Evil Empire have announced that The Rogue Prince of Persia will arrive onto Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 this December 16, as a digital release. It will then join the PlayStation 5 version next year when the game gets a physical release. Check out the new Switch 2 trailer below.

We reviewed the game when it launched onto PC and other consoles back in August and really enjoyed it. Nintendo fans were told the game was coming, but there was nothing beyond that, so the date now is good news.

We’re thrilled to bring The Rogue Prince of Persia to Nintendo Switch players. The game’s fast-paced action and replayability make it a perfect fit for hybrid play. We can’t wait to see players dive into the Prince’s journey on the go.

As for the physical release, that is being produced by U&I Entertainment, who do a lot of physical releases for Team17, Fangamer, Outright Games and more. The release will come to PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch, with a standard edition available and Immortal Edition.

For the second option, the Immortal Edition, players will get the game, a double-sided poster, and cards, which have art on one side and form to make a map on the other. All of this will come packed into a SteelBook case. For those wondering, the Nintendo Switch 2 edition of the game will be a Key Card release.

The physical release will happen on April 10th, but pre-orders will open at retailers this Friday, so check for those.

If you want to really get into the world of The Rogue Prince of Persia, you can also pre-order the 2 disc LP set from Laced Records, which comes with some incredible art work as part of the release.
