The Division: Resurgence has its own resurgence as it gets an update

After more than a year of silence, Ubisoft have revealed new details about The Division: Resurgence, the upcoming mobile game and that is a new test is happening soon. The news came from a live stream that the company hosted right from Gamescom, you can watch the Division content from here.

This September a new closed test will take place on both iOS and Android, with players able to register for it here. This will not only give fans a chance to try the game out, it will also help with the production of it, so a win-win.

If you are not familiar with the game, The Division Resurgence takes players back to the streets of Manhattan, set several months after the conclusion of the Division 1. With a familiar map updated to reflect the passage of time, the Division Resurgence will bridge the narrative gap between the Division 1 and 2, adding to the existing lore with additional story beats over time.

The game has been MIA for more than 12 months, the last social post before this news was from March 2024 and the last news story on the games official website was February 2024, so it has been a while. The game even made it onto our 2025 Missing In Action feature, because of how absent it had been. So while there is no release date yet, it is good to see there is some progress happening.
