The Crew Motorfest drops new details thanks to The Crew Summer showcase

Overnight Ubisoft hosted a showcase for The Crew, not just the new game coming or the one players are still enjoying, but the series as a whole. While The Crew 2 is getting set to kick off its next year of content, including custom race creation, this is all about the new game.

One of the reveals is how the games other content and more will shake out. Playlists are how players will experience events in the game, you can learn more about it here, but for those seeking a challenge against real players, every hour the game will host head-to-head events that will have 28 players competing to see who comes out on top. What makes this exciting is that each of the tracks will be randomly created, so no two should ever be the same and it should also avoid giving players an advantage, should they have memorised existing layouts. You can learn more about it in the video below.

But Motorfest’s festivities are just starting, with a program that will unroll and entertain all year long, including new Playlists, Summit Contests, guests and celebrations. As in any festival, the Main Stage is where the action is. It gathers a selection of themed events and challenges, supported by a hand-picked vehicle lineup and famous guests such as professional drivers, tuners and content creators. The first guest to be revealed is no other than the notorious Hoonigan, who will be joining in Season 2 with their special project vehicles. Every four months, a new season infused with a distinct car culture fantasy will unfold, with new Motorfest Main Stage activities introduced each month.

For those players who have put time into building a collection of cars in The Crew 2, the Collection Import function in The Crew Motorfest, will let players bring content up to the end of Season 8, which just wrapped up. Not 100% of all cars will be included, some will be unavailable due to a number of reasons, but for the cars that are, it just means you won’t have to start all over.

The showcase also went into detail about Season 9 of The Crew 2, and its Race Creator feature, you can learn about that and everything else in the full presentation below.
