Take flight once again with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on PlayStation 5
Microsoft are continuing their passion project of undercutting reasons to buy their hardware, with the reveal that Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is coming to PlayStation 5 on December 8, or December 3 if you pay extra. Check out the announcement trailer for the game below.
The team at Asobo Studios and Microsoft Flight Sim have taken advantage of the PlayStation 5, for example the communications from air traffic control will come through the speaker on the PlayStation 5 controller. It is not just that as Adaptive triggers respond to different speeds and surface types on the ground and provide sloped resistance in the air, plus there is support for gyro controls, lightbar support, and a customisable touchpad further enhance the immersion during flight.
An update will release in 2026 for the game, adding PlayStation VR2 support, for the 17 people who own one of those. You can read more about the game over on the PlayStation Blog, with the game launching on PlayStation 5 on December 8.
