Table Turf Battle is a new take on the icon Splatoon battle and is included in Splatoon 3
During the recent Splatoon 3 Direct, it was announced that a new card game, based on Turf War is coming, though this is not a standalone release, it is part of the Splatoon 3 game.
Called Table Turf War, this is a 1v1 mode, that has players use cards that they can earn in the game, to attempt to claim all the turf on a table.
When you first visit the Tableturf Battle Dojo in Splatsville’s vacant lot, you will be provided with your first set of cards, there are over 150 cards to collect as well.
To battle, all you need to do is ink different shapes with different cards, charge up power, then unleash it all at once with a special comeback attack. Then by the end of the game, after the rounds have passed, the person with the most squares covered on the board, is declared the winner.
The only real sad part about this, its not a standalone release, because it would be perfect for a Nintendo Switch Online membership. Still, as an optional mode, if you are not someone who likes card games, you can ignore this and just battle it out in the regular Turf Battle, but as an option it is nice to see.
