System Shock Remake is coming to both Switch and Switch 2

Nightdive Studios have announced that System Shock Remake, which as the name implies is the remake of the original System Shock, is coming to Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Check out the reveal trailer for the game below.

What was funny was that earlier this year, they announced that System Shock 2 was coming to Nintendo Switch, but there was no word back then about the first game making the jump as well. Which was odd, why have the sequel but not he original, well it seems they finally are correcting that.

The System Shock remake combines the gameplay of the original title with HD visuals, updated controls, an overhauled interface, and new sounds and music. A legion of hostile and mutated creatures — created and controlled by the delightfully villainous SHODAN — await players as they make their way through Citadel Station. Players will also encounter traps, puzzles, and secrets in their pursuit of escape. A combination of stealth, cunning, and futuristic weaponry will be required to survive.

For the Nintendo releases, players can look forward to gyro support and a host of community requested features added to the game. For those playing on Nintendo Switch 2, it also will offer mouse-con support and run at 1080p and 60fps.

There is no date for the game yet, but the team at Nightdive Studios have said it will come soon.

Also, for those collector’s out there, the game will release on both platforms fully on card, no download needed.
