Assassin's Creed Shadows is coming to Switch 2 this December

Ubisoft have announced that Assassin’s Creed Shadows is making the leap onto Nintendo Switch 2 this December 2nd, complete with all the content updates released for the game so far, which includes the newly announced ones. Check out the announce trailer below.
The game has been optimised for Nintendo Switch 2, meaning it should run great in either handheld or docked modes and will include full touch screen support for those who play in the former.
“We are delighted to bring Assassin’s Creed Shadows to Nintendo players. Whether slipping through the shadows as Naoe or facing foes head-on as Yasuke, players will be able to roam the streets and rooftops of feudal Japan at home or anywhere their journey takes them on Nintendo Switch 2.”
The only content that is not included with the game when it arrives this year is the Claws of Awaji expansion, which is set to arrive in early 2026 for an additional purchase.
The game will support cross-progression, which means if you have been enjoying the game on other platforms already, you can keep your adventure going on Switch 2, without needing to start again.
When we reviewed the game earlier this year, we loved it and so the chance to play the game on the go, is quite exciting. Finally, for those curious, the game will release in retail as a Game-Key release, so you still need to download the full game.
