Star Wars: Galactic Racer reveals its first look at gameplay

During the recent State of Play, Fuse Games popped up to reveal a look at the first gameplay for Star Wars Galactic Racer, well gameplay should be taken with a grain of sand from Tattooine as some of the shots look more like replay. Still if it is in engine, I am going to be a happy pod racer, check it out below.
As the new trailer shows and the screens below do as well, Podracers are in the game. This was something a lot of people were asking about after the reveal last year, so it is nice to see them in action here. While there are some familiar looking shapes in the trailer, the team have said that there is more going on that just creating the ones we know.
When players boot up the game there will be both a single player campaign, an arcade mode and multiplayer to test their skills. The solo campaign will through players into the Galactic League: an unsanctioned racing league that is currently dominated by the villainous Kestar Bool. In danger of losing his creation, league organizer Darius Pax calls on the mysterious mercenary Shade, a lone racer with a personal grudge against the Bool family, to help take Kestar down and reclaim control over the league.
Players follow branching event paths to earn parts, tools, and upgrades that give them an edge in the championship. Each decision lets you develop new strategies, test different vehicles, and collaborate with your mechanic, Hibi, to tailor the perfect craft for your racing style. Race, adapt, and refine your approach as you form alliances and defeat rivals on the road to becoming the Galactic League champion.
For those seeking a chance to test their skills, the Arcade mode will be where you want to go. Here you will find time trials, precision driving challenge and unique scenarios to test your skills against challenges you might not have ever considered.
Finally, those who want to play against others can do so via the games online multiplayer, which will support 12 players at a time. There will be ranks, rivals and more included, but full details will be revealed at another time.
The game does not have a date beyond 2026 and when it does arrive, it will do so on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
