Sonic Colors: Ultimate is just the start for Sonic in 2021

Sonic Colors: Ultimate is just the start for Sonic in 2021

Sega promised some Sonic news and they delivered overnight, with their first Sonic Central event, including the fact that Sonic is speeding into almost every Sega published game.

The first big bit of news is that of Sonic Colours, though they spell it Sonic Colors as well, is getting an Ultimate Edition. The game was made for the Wii back in 2010, but will now hit Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox Series X, along with PC via the Epic Game Store.

The second big reveal was that of the Sonic Origins collection, which brings Sonic 1, 2 & 3, along with Sonic & Knucles and Sonic CD together in one package.

Sadly with this one, there is no word on when or what platforms it will land on, but given this is Sega, there is a fair chance it will come to all.

Finally, the other weird reveal is that Sonic is going to dash into a host of other Sega games, like being able to play, at least dressed as him, in the recently dated Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. Or if you prefer you can go visit Dr Sonic inside of Two Point Hospital, for a rapid diagnosis.

Those looking for the ultimate piece of Sega history will have to pick up Lost Judgement, which is coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, as Sonic Fighters will be playable inside arcades found in the game.
