skate. reveals the roadmap for it’s next season and beyond

Full Circle the studio that released skate. into early access last year have released a roadmap, giving players an idea of what changes are coming to the game in the next season and beyond.

Before we get to the roadmap itself, the team did release some more details about skate pass and other changes that players have been requesting. Season 3, which kicks off very soon will bring some changes around items and skate.pass, here are the highlights:

  • Brands! Way back in Season 1, you asked for brands in the skate.Pass - this season, we’re going to deliver, with adidas and more coming to the skate.Pass.

  • Items on demand: Get the items you want, when you want them. We’re making 200+ wardrobe basics and in-demand items available for à la carte purchase. Although we’ll occasionally swap out a few items here and there to keep things fresh, the core catalogue will just keep growing.

  • More skate.Pass options: We're adding a new Premium+ skate.Pass bundle to give you more options (and even more Tix) - you choose what works best for you.

One of the new additions for season 3 is the return of the tutorial island, or Isle of Grom if you want to be specific. This is going to be familiar to many players, as you had to prove yourself there, before you were allowed on the streets of San Vansterdam. But this is not going to be as you remember, as the island has been expanded with new spots to discover and locations to explore.

The island will eventually become available to everyone, but access to it will rollout in phases:

  • March 10 - skate.Pass owners can visit

  • April 14 - Open access for a limited time

  • May 5 - available to skate.Pass owners or anyone who spends 500 rip chips for a 24 hour pass

    • This runs until June 2, there is no word on if that means the end of paid access or the end of the season

That is only some of the changes coming in Season 3, I am sure once the patch notes drop, there will be more changes to discover, but let’s push on.

As you can see from the roadmap below, there are a few things coming in Season 3, a few more than we talked about above, but there is still more to come.

The big section is the middle one, as these are features that are in active development, which include new game modes, a new match making system and more. The final section is basically the wishlist, things the developers would love to do, if they have time. I know a lot of players would want private servers today, but the game was never built for that in mind, so they need to take their time and work on a plan as to how to change the game, but not break the game.

If you want to know a little more about the game, it is worth checking out the official site, so you can see more about the roadmap.
