Sekiro: No Defeat has been revealed and is adapting the game to anime

During Gamescom Opening Night Live, it was revealed that Sekiro is getting an anime adaptation, with Sekiro: No Defeat coming in 2026 and will be broadcast on Crunchyroll here in Australia. Check out the trailer for the show below.

This is an adaptation of the games story, so many of the faces that players will know from the game will show up here. So far the voice cast consists of Daisuke Namikawa as Wolf, Miyuki Satou as Kuro / The Divine Heir and Kenjiro Tsuda as Genichiro Ashina. If those names seem somewhat familiar to you, that is because those are the same actors that played the same characters in the game.

We are taking on the monumental task of animating the breathtakingly beautiful Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. In doing so, we are pouring every ounce of our artistic vision and passion for beauty into its production. The final product is being crafted to be a truly memorable experience, one that will leave a lasting impression on both dedicated fans of the game and those who are discovering the world of Sekiro for the very first time. Please look forward to it.
— Kenichi Kutsuna, director of the adaptation

There is no set release date for the show yet, beyond 2026, we don’t even know if its going to be a series or a film, as they have not said. What we do have are some nice stills from it and a fun poster below that.
