ReStory has you repairing devices from early 2000s Tokyo

tinyBuild and developer Madragora have announced ReStory, a brand new game where players take over an electronics repair shop in Tokyo, just after the turn of the millenium. Check out the debut trailer for the game below.
ReStory combines tactile repair gameplay with a soothing, relaxed atmosphere, layered shop management mechanics, and a cast of memorable, well-developed characters. Grow your business by carefully unscrewing, cleaning, soldering, repainting, and reassembling a wide variety of devices to bring them back to life — and if you need spare parts, you can always order them online using an old-school in-game web browser. Talk to customers, listen to their stories, and watch how your choices influence both their lives and the future of your shop through a branching, non-linear narrative.
“ReStory is my nostalgia for a time when we shared polyphonic ringtones via infrared ports and rewound cassette tapes with a pencil. When every device felt unique. Now we just hold these screens in our hands, and they all look the same. Japanese companies always amazed me with their influence on global technology, which made 2000s Tokyo the perfect setting. I can’t wait to share this nostalgic feeling with players and discover how many other grown-up kids remember that era fondly!”
You will notice that the trailer and screens do feature proper Atari branded items, that is because they are working with the company to include them, which does mean items like the Atari 2600 and Jaguar. For other devices, they are fake variants of real world items, so Nony instead of Sony.
The game is only announced for PC so far, but that could change. Right now the game is aiming to release in 2026 but there is no firmer date beyond that.
