Reanimal gets a demo on PC, giving players a taste of what's to come in 2026
THQ Nordic and developer Tarsier Studios have released a demo for Reanimal onto PC, giving players there a taste of the adventure to come. This is only on PC as it is part of Steam Next Fest, check out the very brief trailer for the co-op only demo below.

Welcome to the hellish world of REANIMAL. In this exclusive playable demo of the game’s opening chapters, you will venture into the abandoned Mill in search of one of your missing friends, and learn quickly that co-operation is the only means of survival.
Taking place at the very beginning of the game, you will learn how The Boy & The Girl meet and, more importantly, get a hint of why they might be here. At the same time, you will get your first taste of riding the boat around this dark & unforgiving place.
As you find your way through the fog to the shores of The Mill, your search for Hood will introduce you to the many obstacles that block your path, including an encounter with her disfigured captor, known only as Sniffer.
Luckily, in this demo you will not have to defeat him - we’re saving that delight for the full game!
Now there is no word on if progress will carry over, the lack of explanation ensures it likely won’t.
The game is set to release in early 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S.
