Pokémon The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero drops new details for the second part of its expansion

Overnight, the Pokémon Company released a whole lot of new details for the second chapter of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero expansion, The Indigo Disk, including new Pokémon, ways of playing, getting around and more. Check out the trailer below to get an overview of all that is coming on December 14th.

First up we got two new Pokémon arts, on the left is Sinistcha an evolution of Poltchageist. On the right is Bloodmoon Ursaluna. Sinistcha is an all new Pokémon but Bloodmoon Ursaluna can be found in Part 1.

We also got new details on the masks that Ogerpon can wear, which allow it to take on different forms. We have seen its standard one before, it is called The Teal Mask after all, but the new ones are Cornerstone Mask, Wellspring Mask and Hearthflame Mask. They are shown below in that order.

Also, depending on the version of the game you own, either Koraidon or Miraidon will be able to fly. Currently their flying style is Toy Story, falling with style, but once trainers have progressed to a certain point in the game, they will be able to obtain permanent flight for their Pokémon.

A new piece of technology has been released, called the Synchro Machine, this new tech literally sends your mind into the body of one of your Pokémon. While synchronized with one of their Pokémon, they can move around and battle wild Pokémon—a fresh new way to play the game. It appears that this device is still a prototype. Players can use it once they’ve helped a scientist in the Terarium with her research.

Finally, after completing the main story in the expansion, players can meet a new character called Snacksworth at the academy. Should you complete the quests he has, you can earn the chance to encounter Legendary Pokémon from all of the games.

If you don’t want to wait until next week, starting today a give has been made available to all players if they use the following code “SH1NYBUDDY“ they will receive a special Shiny Lucario. While not a real Legendary, it is an inconic Pokémon.

So there is a lot to look forward too, including Mass Outbreaks, new locations and new Tera Raid Battles, the owning of either Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet has never been brighter.
