Pokémon Champions reveals new details and a 2026 release

During the recent Pokémon Presents, Pokémon Champions got a new look, which confirmed a link to Pokémon Home, or you can recruit directly in the game.
Adding Pokémon to your team can be done in two ways, the first is with Trial Recruitment, which lets you enjoy the selected Pokémon for a limited time and the other option is Permanent Recruitment using Victory Points or VP.
Victory Points have been revealed to be earnt via various methods, however the only one announced so far is via Ranked Battles.
There are three different battle modes available in Pokémon Champions, which can be played in both Single Battle and Double Battle formats.
Ranked Battles: Players can test their skills against other Trainers from all over the world. Trainers are divided into tiers based on their skill level.
Casual Battles: Trainers can test how their teams perform against Pokémon Trainers from around the world in a relaxed environment.
Private Battles: Players can battle against friends or family in the same in-game room.
The game is set to release sometime in 2026, which is the first date we have seen for the game. It will also release on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, iOS and Android devices.
