PAX Australia 2025: The Line-Up

PAX Australia 2025: The Line-Up

PAX Australia is taking place this October 10th, 11th and 12th at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre and will bring video and tabletop games to players, along with tech, learning, charities and much more.

The full panel schedule has also been released.

This year, instead of doing small stories for each announcement, we opted to create a mega list and divide the folks showing up into groups. This will not be everyone, because the list would be massive, but these are the folks that you should make a note of, if you have any interest in that category.

Speaking of, these are the categories we have gone with:

  • Charities

  • Gaming

  • Special Guests

  • Tech

  • Tabletop

  • Activations

  • Shopping

  • Learning

Now the shopping group might double up over the other areas, but there are going to be standalone booths selling a host of things. The lists will grow as the show gets closer, so be sure to check back often.

Charities

  • Booth: BD01

Black Dog Institute is a proudly independent not-for-profit globally renowned mental health research institute connected to UNSW Sydney. We are the only medical research institute in Australia that investigates mental health across the lifespan—from childhood to adulthood.

We believe in creating hope for those experiencing mental illness by improving mental health outcomes for all Australians.

Through Science, Compassion, and Action, we conduct translational research. What does this mean? It’s about focusing on the big picture—connecting the dots between research studies, education programs, expert knowledge, digital tools, and lived experience. By translating research into practical, evidence-based solutions, we aim to create real-world change that improves mental health outcomes for all Australians.

We focus on better treatments, better programs, and a better understanding of mental health to make a real-world impact.

Wenduag in 'Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous,’, The Siren Queen in 'Sea of Thieves' and conflicted nymph Queen Nyrissa in 'Pathfinder: Kingmaker.’ Amelia also appears as the Goddess of Witchcraft, Hecate, in Supergiant Games' sequel 'Hades 2.’

Catch him at PAX Aus for exclusive panels, signings and meet & greets.

  • Ify Nwadiwe is a comedian, actor, writer, professional nerd and most notably, the host of Dropout TV's Um, Actually. He's made you laugh on all your favourite places on the internet from Smosh and Dimension 20 to Achievement Hunter all the way to Dropout TV. He's written for shows like Adult Swim's Tigtone, NBC's Grand Crew and Peacock's Twisted Metal, as well as writing for video games like Apex Legends and Borderlands 4. A multi-hyphenated goofball and talent.

  • Mikey Dowling once played a stealth espionage game and said, "I want to make video games." He started working at an RPG studio and was fortunate to get to work on a stealth game. He travelled to a post-apocalyptic Vegas, sieged some dungeons, hung out with foul-mouthed kids in Colorado, and helped to bring sound to Eora. However, clearly not content with how easy that stretch of his career was, he thought it would be so much cooler to allow people to yell at him on the internet for a living and switched over to communications. He decided he should bring more people along for that crazy ride and has built out a truly extraordinary team of talented marketing and communications individuals to help talk about a studio that he loves deeply.

  • Taylor Kennedy is a Producer living out her dream: turning sleepless childhood nights of gaming marathons into a full-blown career in game development. She’s shipped titles like Teamfight Tactics: Remix Rumble and Avowed, and is currently on the Grounded 2 team at Obsidian Entertainment—where she’s actively working through her various bug phobias. She believes that any game can be a cosy game if you meditate enough.

  • Justin Vazquez has spent the last 17 years bridging creativity and production in the entertainment industries, with a career spanning video games, film, television, and music. He’s contributed to franchises like Army of Two, Bulletstorm, and Batman: Arkham, and as Executive Producer, he led the cult survival horror Last Year to a “Best New Release” nod on Steam. His work has been showcased at events like E3, GDC, PAX, and SDCC, where he’s represented studios including EA, Warner Bros., Behaviour Interactive, and Eidos-Montréal. Now Creative Director on Grounded 2 at Eidos-Montréal in collaboration with Obsidian Entertainment, Justin leads with a simple philosophy: process should empower creativity, not stifle it. Having worked on both the dreaming and delivering sides of game development, he guides teams with empathy, clarity, and the conviction that when every developer can thrive, the worlds they create come alive.

  • Miles Winzeler is a Producer at Obsidian Entertainment, currently working on Grounded 2, having supported Grounded’s Fully Yoked update most recently before that. Over his last decade in the games industry, Miles has split his time between Design and Production roles, preferring whichever puts him in the best position to terrorize players with references to 90s basketball (a lesson hard-earned when - under his watch - Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice somehow shipped without containing a single mention of Larry “Grandmama” Johnson).

  • Andru Lynch has been with Gearbox Software since 2018. He is the Lead Gear Designer for Borderlands 4 and its post-launch content.

  • In 2022 he joined Gearbox Entertainment to become its first-ever Global Creative Executive Officer. A key aspect of Andrew’s role is to work closely with creative teams across Gearbox’s multiple projects – from video games to transmedia properties to consumer products – and provide a perspective that ensures everything that Gearbox creates brings joy and happiness to people all over the world. Andrew’s responsibilities are immense as his overarching vision is key to infusing a connected identity for what Gearbox creates so that players and fans recognize each game, graphic novel, tabletop game, or action figure is truly representative of Gearbox regardless of whether they live in Dallas, Tokyo, and everywhere in between.

  • His bio is too be big for here, you can read it here.

  • Sam Winkler (he/him) joined Gearbox Software in 2016. He served as Co-Lead Writer on Borderlands 3 (and accompanying campaign DLCs), Lead Writer on Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, and, most recently, Narrative Director of Borderlands 4.
