Oz Comic-Con confirms it's Brisbane and Sydney Guests

The line up of stars, from the stage and screen, voice to page, have been announced for the Sydney and Brisbane Oz Comic-Cons, here are a few highlights.

Hayley’s film credits include; Julian Jarrold’s BRIDESHEAD REVISITED (2008) and THE DUCHESS (2008), for which she was nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category at the 2008 British Independent Film Awards. In 2011, Hayley was cast opposite Chris Evans in Marvel universe blockbuster CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER. Her character Peggy Carter, was given her own show, AGENT CARTER in 2015, the first ever Marvel spin-off to be fronted by a woman. The first season garnered 8m viewers when it premiered on ABC. Hayley has reprised this role in; CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER (2014), AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON and ANT-MAN. Last summer Hayley starred in Disney’s CHRISTOPHER ROBIN opposite Ewan McGregor. Currently Hayley be seen starring opposite Tom Burke in a new adaptation of Henrik Ibsen’s play ROSMERSHOLM at the Duke of York’s Theatre. The play is directed by Ian Rickson. Later this year, she will be seen in BLINDED BY THE LIGHT, directed by Gurinder Chadha.

Aisha Tyler is an award-winning director, actor, comedian, bestselling author, podcaster and activist. She voices superspy Lana Kane on F/X’s Emmy-winning hit animated comedy Archer, the winner of four back-to-back Television Critics’ Choice Awards. She is a series regular on the hit CBS show “Criminal Minds,” for which she also directed two episodes. She continues to host the CW’s hit improv show, Whose Line Is It Anyway. In addition, Aisha is an entrepreneur, launching a line of premium, bottled cocktails she personally created and developed, called Courage+Stone, in Summer 2019.

Lonsdale can seen starring as Bram Greenfeld opposite Nick Robinson, Katherine Langford and Jennifer Garner in Twentieth Century Fox’s film “Love, Simon,” directed by Greg Berlanti. Based off the novel Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda, the film follows 17-year-old Simon Spier (Robinson), a high schooler who hasn’t told his family or friends he is gay, and doesn’t know the identity of the anonymous classmate he has fallen for online. Resolving both issues proves hilarious, terrifying and life-changing. “Love Simon” garnered 66 million at the world-wide box office making it one of the top 10 highest grossing teen romance movies of all time.

On the television front, Lonsdale most recently starred on the international hit CW series “The Flash” as the iconic Wally West/superhero Kid Flash, who has superhuman speed. He joined the cast during season two, and last year it was announced that his character would transition to the network’s “Legends of Tomorrow” as a series regular, staying within the DC Comics universe.

Aaron Dismuke is an American voice actor, adaptive writer and director who works primarily with Funimation Entertainment.

He got his start voice acting at age 9, as Hiro Sohma in Fruits Basket, moving on to voice Alphonse Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist by age 12. Since then, he’s voiced various roles including Leonardo Watch in Blood Blockade Battlefront, Van Fanel in Escaflowne (2016 version), Oscar in RWBY, Reinhard in Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Yo Takami in Deadman Wonderland, Twelve in Terror in Residence, Arslan in The Heroic Legend of Arslan, and Lucifer in Devil is a Part Timer.

He worked as assistant director for Ninja Slayer and Fairy Tail, and director for Shomin Sample and Nanbaka. He’s part of the ADR writing teams that adapted scripts for Fairy Tail, Nanbaka, Tokyo Ghoul, and Full Metal Panic! Invisible Victory.

A voice actress and ADR director, best known for the role of Winry Rockbell in the Fullmetal Alchemist franchise, Caitlin has been working in the anime industry since 2004. In 2008, Caitlin was the ADR director for the widely popular fan-favorite, Ouran High School Host Club, as well as the voice of Haruhi Fujioka. In video games, Caitlin also lends her voice to Mathilda in Fire Emblem Echoes, Rose in Tales of Zestiria, Elma in Xenoblade Chronicles X, Thorn in Battleborn, and, most notably, Cammy White & Decapre in Street Fighter IV & V.

Other well-known anime roles include Vados in Dragon Ball Super, Mina Ashido in My Hero Academia, Vivi in One Piece, Evergreen in Fairy Tail, Petra in Attack on Titan, Diancie in Pokémon, Maki in Love Live! School Idol Project, Lilia in Yuri!!! on Ice, Hannah in Black Butler II, Miria in Baccano, Kimi in Tokyo Ghoul, Satellizer in Freezing, Kirigiri in Danganronpa: The Animation, Miho Amakata in Free!, and Kim in Soul Eater.

Osric Chau is a Canadian actor and filmmaker best known for his roles in Supernatural and Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency.

Born in Vancouver in 1986 to a Malaysian mother and Hong Kong father, Osric Chau initially wanted to be a stuntman. He trained in Wing Chun, Tai Chi, and Wushu and worked on stunts for EA Games before appearing opposite David Carradine and Daryl Hannah in the TV movie Kung Fu Killer. He then made his feature film debut opposite John Cusack and Thandie Newton in the natural disaster blockbuster, 2012.
Osric is most recognisable from his role as advanced placement high school student turned prophet, Kevin Tran, in Supernatural. Appearing in seasons 7, 8, 9, and 11, Osric’s character was initially a guest role that grew to become central to the Leviathan and angel storylines.

John Barrowman is an Entertainer with a capital E. He sings, he dances, he acts, he presents, he judges – he is a unique talent in the entertainment industry on both sides of the Atlantic.

John can currently be seen in the regular role of Malcolm Merlyn (aka The Dark Archer) in the hit American drama series Arrow, based on the Green Arrow comic books. The show has been a huge success all over the world, and is aired in the UK on Sky 1 and on the CW network in the USA. He has appeared in all four series of the show. He subsequently guested as Malcolm Merlyn in The Flash, and has also guested on the CW’s hit historical drama Reign. Having guested on the hit American political drama Scandal for the ABC network, he hosted a major new entertainment series for the network, Sing Your Face Off. In the UK on Channel 4 he hosted Superstar Dogs (a game show for dogs) and The Small Animal Hospital with John Barrowman, which followed the work of Glasgow University Veterinary Hospital. He hosted two series of the BBC1 game show Pressure Padand has hosted The National Lottery Awards on BBC1 three times.
