Nintendo Classics: Mario Paint brushes up for a release

Nintendo have announced that Mario Paint is now available for Nintendo Switch Online members, as the Super Nintendo app has been updated for it.

The new update for the Super Nintendo app renames it to Nintendo Classics, like the GameCube and Nintendo 64 apps, but the name change is not all.

The app now supports mice, which on Switch 2 means either side of your Joy-Con 2, or a connected USB mouse. For Switch owners, that is OG, Lite and OLED you can connect either via the dock, where possible, or directly through the USB-C connection, that latter option is for the Lite.

In addition there are now remappable controls as part of the app, so you can get your perfect set up.

If that was not enough, the added mouse support means Mario’s Super Picross and Nobunaga’s Ambition now offer mouse controls. Those games both supported the Super Nintendo Mouse when they were first released, so this is just enabling an existing feature.
