NBA 2K26 reveals Shai Gilgeous-Alexander as the cover star

2K have announced that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is going to be the cover star for NBA 2K26, at least on the standard edition.

Gilgeous-Alexander is a player for the Oklahoma City Thunder and just recently signed a deal to stay with them for another 4 years and for good reason. In the past 12 months he has been awarded 2024-25 KIA Most Valuable Player, 2024-25 NBA Scoring Champ, and Finals MVP.

With Gilgeous-Alexander on the cover, this makes the first time since NBA 2K15 that a member of the Thunder has been on the cover of the game, with Kevin Durant being the last one.
