Marvel's Wolverine slashes its way onto PlayStation 5 this September

PlayStation Studios, Insomniac Games and Marvel have announced that Wolverine will release onto PlayStation 5 this September 15.

Marvel’s Wolverine will offer fans some fast, fluid, and ferocious combat; combined with exhilarating, action-packed set pieces; and for those who need them robust accessibility features; all combined under a story that taps into the core tenets of one of the most compelling comic book characters of all time. The game will explore Logan’s signature spin on heroism—which is much darker and more brutal than you might expect from Insomniac.

Wolverine hunts the secrets of a shadowed past that refuse to stay buried. His quest for answers drags him into dangerous journeys across exotic locales—the island nation of Madripoor, the icy wilderness of Canada, and the tight, bustling streets of Tokyo—each a possible battleground for fierce, bloody, destructive conflict.

Wolverine typically travels his path alone, yet he still crosses paths with familiar figures like the elusive Mystique and the savage Omega Red. Some allies stand by Logan against overwhelming odds, while others launch full-scale assaults—most notably the Reavers, a ruthless faction that keeps his instincts razor-sharp.
