Mario and Sonic are taking the Olympics back to the 8bit era

During the E3 2019 trailer for Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, we got a brief moment of 8-bit style gameplay and now thanks to Gamescom 2019, we have a whole trailer for it, check it out.

Gamers will be able to pick their player and then jump into 10 different classic 2D events:

  • 100m

  • 10m Platform (Diving)

  • 400m Hurdles

  • Gymnastics - Vault

  • Judo

  • Kayak Single (K-1) 1000m

  • Long Jump

  • Marathon

  • Shooting - Trap

  • Volleyball

There are also 21 sports in the regular game, so that means players will get over 30 sports to play when the title hits Switch on November 8 If you want to see the game in action, check out this 20 minute video from Nintendo Europe.
