Jurassic World Rebirth delivers a new trailer

Universal have released a new trailer for Jurassic World Rebirth, which teases more dinosaurs than we have seen before and puts some context around the reason why a military team is on the island. Check it out.

The movie stars Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey and Mahershala Ali, in an action-packed chapter sees an extraction team race to the most dangerous place on Earth, an island research facility for the original Jurassic Park, inhabited by the worst of the worst that were left behind.

The official synopsis reads as thus:

Five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the planet’s ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs. Those remaining exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived. The three most colossal creatures across land, sea and air within that tropical biosphere hold, in their DNA, the key to a drug that will bring miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind

The movie is being directed by Gareth Edwards, who has delivered three big hits over the past decade in The Creator, Godzilla and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. What gives the film some real potential is it is written by David Koepp, who worked with Michael Crichton on the story and screenplay for the original movie, based of Crichton’s original book.

The remaining cast includes Luna Blaise (Manifest), David Iacono (The Summer I Turned Pretty) and Audrina Miranda (Lopez vs. Lopez) as Reuben’s family. The film also features, as members of Zora and Krebs’ crews, Philippine Velge (Station Eleven), Bechir Sylvain (BMF) and Ed Skrein (Deadpool).

The movie will release here in Australia on July 3.
