Journey to the Savage Planet has an interesting new mode

Journey to the savage Planet has been out for sometime and is a very well made game, as we praised in our review, but the developers over at Typhoon Studios seem to be ok with working on it some more, as they have released an update that fixes some issues, but also adds in a new game mode, say hello to New Game Minus.

From the update post on the games site, here is the official description of the new mode:

Old Game Minus: replay the game with limited lives (3) and a timer. Save data is deleted when the mode is completed or failed. Playing co-op? The pair of you get to share a massive pool of lives (still 3)

What it means is that you now have only 3 lives in which to complete the game, lose all the lives and your save data is deleted, meaning you have to start over from the beginning, like old school Mario. If you pair up with another intrepid explorer, the two of you still only have 3 lives, combined together.

On top of that, the photo mode has been given a new selection of filters to use, including the ever popular gameboy screen one. There is a lot more included, which of course includes some fixes to issues, so check out the site for all the details.
