Hollow Knight and Silksong getting updates for all
Team Cherry have announced that Hollow Knight and Hollow Knight Silksong are getting updates, with the latter of the two getting a free expansion in 2026. You can check out the teaser for that below.
Details about the expansion are scarce, but Team Cherry have said this:
New areas, bosses, tools, and more! Hornet’s adventures continue in our nautically themed expansion, coming free for all players next year. We’ll keep further details a secret for now, but expect additional info shortly before Hollow Knight: Silksong - Sea of Sorrow releases.
The first game, which has been around for quite a while, is also getting a few updates. Firstly for those on Nintendo Switch 2, the game will get an update there to take advantage of the extra power. So that means a higher framerate, high resolution and other graphical updates.
The game itself will also get updates on all other platforms, including bug fixes but also new features, what those are at not yet known. PC players will get new updates first, thanks to Steam Beta access, the first one is live now and adds ultrawide ratio support.
