Hitman: Absolution is coming to Switch next week

Developer Feral Interactive announced a few months ago that Hitman: Absolution would come to Nintendo Switch after its mobile release and now we know when, November 13. Check out the newest trailer for this version of the game.

For those who don’t know the story of the game, here is the set up:

In a story of corruption and misplaced trust, Hitman: Absolution sees Agent 47, the original assassin, now hunted by the Agency he once served. Using his trademarks of stealth, distraction and disguise, 47 must strike back, leaving no trace other than a trail of bodies in his wake…

Absolution was the last game the studio worked on, before they rebooted the series with Hitman in 2016, which led to the World of Assassination Trilogy. Absolution laid a lot of the groundwork that the newer games would follow.

This is the second game from the Hitman series to release on Switch from Feral Interactive, with Blood Money: Reprisal arriving in early 2024. Much like the first one, this release includes improvements to character models and their surroundings as well as more sophisticated lighting effects. Further quality-of-life improvements, such as optional gyro aiming, ensure that Hitman: Absolution feels perfectly tailored to Nintendo Switch, whether you are playing at home or on the go.

The game is available now on mobile devices, but comes to Switch on November 13, but the game won’t stop there. In 2026 Contracts will be added to the game as a post-release addition. This modes will let players from around the world create their own contracts, then sharing them, giving players a near infinite amount of targets to take out. More details for that should come in the new year.
