Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea has been revealed
Natsume have announced the next chapter in the iconic Harvest Moon series, Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea. The game is coming to Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in the future, no date has been set yet.
As you can see from the first look images, the series is seeing a massive update to the visuals, it still has the iconic look, but now no longer feels like it was stuck using the Nintendo 3DS assets. Here is what we know about the set up for this new game, which does not begin with you being given a farm by a previously unknown family member.
The mist of the Forest of Echoes now covers the land of Teradea, and outside of Bloomfield Village where you were raised, wild wolves appear at night. There are even rumours of a large guardian wolf that rules them all...but you and your best friend are about to change that!

Players will get to balance the fun of farming, along side exploring the forest, taming the wolves within and helping the Guardian Spirit revitalise the area and eventually the land of Teradea. It won’t just be foggy forests that you need to contend with, head down to the port village of Tidewind and see what is causing the storms there, or seek the source of the earthquakes in the mining village of Quarrytop. If you want a less earth-shattering place to visit, there is always Mapplehill, but the town was once a thriving place to go, with the light fading, the community around it is also dwindling.
Between journeys, cultivate your farm, raise livestock, harvest your fields, and carve out a life. Guided by the Harvest Goddess and supported by friends you meet in each village, you’ll uncover new ways to grow, explore, and offer help where it’s needed. As bonds strengthen and the seasons turn, the mystery in the mist will gradually reveal itself. With the backing of those you’ve aided — and those who stand with you — you may find a way to lift the veil from the Forest of Echoes and restore Teradea to full bloom.
As with any Harvest Moon game there will be folks you can woo and become married to, but there are some all-new features for this one, these are what they have said about them so far.
New Exploration Abilities: Jump to hidden locations and climb ladders and vines to reach new heights and gather resources.
Animal Companion System: Bring your pets and animals on the road to adventure together! Each animal companion and mount has special abilities to help you explore uncharted territory.
Untamed Wilderness: Evade and escape wild animals like wolves, bears, and tigers! Keep your wits about you and don't let yourself get caught, or you'll lose items you've collected and end up back at your farm!
Island Life: Obtain nautical charts to locate remote islands to treasure hunt and befriend rare animals that you won’t find on the mainland.
Now we don’t have a date or a trailer, but we do have screens and if the game plays as good as it looks, this could be a real turning point for the series.
