Get ready for tactical turn-based action, when Cantata strategically moves into early access this May

Modern Wolf and developer Afterschool Studio have announced, at least last week during the MiX showcase, that Cantata, a turn based tactics game, will launch into early access on May 12th. Check out the most recent trailer for the game below.

If you have never heard of Cantana before, it puts you in the middle of a spiritual, pragmatic war for survival. You will get to play as one of the nine commanding officers from one of three factions - the Machines, Humans or Aliens - and leverage your faction’s unique powers and abilities to slowly expand your hold on an alien world.

“We've been quietly working on our weird, spiritual sci-fi strategy game ever since it was first revealed nearly four years ago,” said Kyle Kukshtel, Founder and Creative Director at Afterschool Studio. “We can't wait to see what people think of our blend of tense tactical battles with large scale strategic planning, intermixed with base-building and logistics.

With Early Access, we're hoping to refine the fundamentals of Cantata to make it the best it can be, while also improving on our sandbox mode with the community in order to make it a compelling strategic toybox. We've got plenty of other features planned for the game over the course of our Early Access period, and are excited to hear the community's feedback.”

If the game is something that interests you, then you can add it to your wishlist on Steam now and then countdown the days until the early access period begins.
